Saturday, 11/06/2010 Newspaper, 67% of readers believe the city should adopt a social ticket. Several times, the Nuremberg city council has discussed a social ticket for Nuremberg and, even an expensive study. We are tired of waiting!
Thousands of people are severely limited by the expensive and ever-rising ticket prices in their mobility. ALG II recipients are affected, people with so-called low-wage jobs, students, pupils, refugees, senior citizens and others. They all have a right to mobility, as part of the social infrastructure must be as a free school, an affordable health system, and unrestricted access to food, water and energy. Since the majority of the City Council now has two years not taken the opportunity has to adopt a social ticket, we will be forced to resort to drastic measures: We are the Nuremberg town hall, where entrenched, the City Council majority, with its refusal to introduce siege!
